Nylon wheels in combination with massive usage of lubricants gives a very smooth and silent ride. The wheels were initially made of steel, but this modification was introduced during the 1980s to address excessive wear on both the carrying cable as well as the wheels themselves.
Here at the drive station at Malmberga, the two middle sections are connected. The trolleys from one section are released from the pulling wire and rolls on this track over to next section, where a second pulling wire for that section is connected
