Striberg was once a booming mine town (som pictures are available at http://www.pbase.com/jakobe/striberg ). When the mine was closed in 1967, a few years went on before the remaining ore stocks were emptied. In 1977 the tracks on the NBJ line Gyttorp-Bredsjö were torn up.

This little cabin held a scale that registered the weight of the ore. As the reading was finished, the semaphore on the roof was used to signal to the shunting engine to move on to the next car
