This Joseph B. Williams was the husband of my 4th Great Aunt, Sarah Fletcher, born 10 Feb. 1806. She is usually shown as marrying Ab L. Hatten after the death of Joseph B. Williams. She did not. The Sarah Fletcher who married Ab. L. Hatten was her niece. It appears that Ab. Hatten, John Clements, and several other families converted to Mormonism, during the influx of Mormons during the campaign of Joseph Smith for President of the United States, and practiced plural marriage.
