One of the most exciting moments of the day was going to the Post Office to get the mail. This view is inside the post office, where the mail was sorted for local and route delivery. Folks could get in their boxes outside (in the lobby) by dialing their combinations to their boxes. The Williams box then, and now, remains P.O. Box 65. No more combinations to remember - we have keys now!
