Mr. Dewitt had his post office in the front and the store in the back. He dipped things out of big jars and urns (such as coffee and tea) for his customers. A skylight was in the center of the store over a pot belly stove. Mrs. Julia, his wife, and Mrs. Juanita Hatton helped in the store. The store has been torn down.
