25 November

King for a Day!

Yes, I have a crown. Actually, I have had it for some time. Until yesterday it happily resided on one of
my molars ... that is until it became unglued in the middle of a busines meeting. Now, after being photographed,
the crown is cosily snuggled in a piece of tissue in my pocket, awaiting a trip to the dentist later today.
Hopefully, it will be restored to its proper place.

The nice thing about being a Yankee living in England is that I can go to the dentist on
Thanksgiving Day. The bad thing ... is that I have to go to work!

After 10 years in the UK, I still miss Thanksgiving, to me the most American of all holidays. Yes, I will
dine on turkey, cranberries and sweet potatoes tonight, along with my English bride and my two (half-English,
half-American) sons. But, I can only eat after I take the boys to their school's autumn
disco; the headmistress obviously did not clock it was Thanksgiving when she set the date.

Happy Thanksgiving Jim from back here in Pennsylvania!
I spent Thanksgiving in North Wales 2 years ago and had dinner in
an Italian Restaurant, that was different! Enjoy the day even if
its only in your mind :-)
