_MG_0835 Big Crop

Saw a bunch of these guys frolicking at the side of my house, maybe a hundred feet away, and grabbed the 100-400. It's a real dull day so I set the camera at ISO800. Picture was a bit dark, (didn't notice the minus 2/3 compensation) so I revealed a lot of noise when I adjusted it in Camera Raw. Had I adjusted the compensation, the shutter speed would probably have been on the slow side. Selected just the background and use Noise Ninja on it. Resized down in Quick Mask so as not to lose the selection, inverted the selection and sharpened it. Click on "next" to see the original content of the image.

Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi
1/160s f/5.6 at 400.0mm iso800 full exif

Wow... talk about a complicated thing ! Even If I read the infos 3 times... I'm still lost in the processus ! I guess some are more knowledgeable and technical than others !
The end result though... is perfect, it's your best one yet Isabel... I can't see how you can imnprove ont that !
Very beautiful image... I thought you had only one white Skippy ! You mean there are others like him ? I've learned something... on the Skippies !
