It's nice having a shorter macro lens, but it is more intimidating to the mantis since I have to work closer to him. I was very happy that the guy I found down below the deck was not this one which was obviously hiding within the eggplant pot. I wish I knew more about mantis body language since having the rear end up like that is not a typical position. It went up when I approached with the camera...and then I decided "What the heck. Let me check downstairs and see if I can find the one from yesterday and....click on "next".
