Clearly the noisy 300mm Canon lens and mirror clunk from the 20D scares off these guys. I'm so happy the Sony is so silent! Post editing-wise I first made a curves adjustment to improve the contrast, then made a highlight adjustment to tone down the flash brightness. Then I selected the feeder and used selective color to add black to the red to tone down the red. Followed that by selecting the sharper parts inside the bird (I don't select the edges because that's asking for a white halo around it)and sharpening with FocalBlade Sharpening plug in and then Sharpen edges, which I then cut back on in edit/fade sharpen edges.
