Last year a Carolina Wren tried to build a nest on top of the supporting post of my front entryway. It just didn't work out because there was nothing to retain the nest material. I decided to put a small skillet up there to see if that would help. This year, it did. Today I heard the babies for the first time, but couldn't see them since the nest is up so high, so I put a ladder on the porch, used the swivel of the lcd on the A610 and hoped for the best.
