I went out looking for aphids and spied this 1" long grasshopper (katydid?) hanging on a leaf.

Canon EOS 7D ,Canon EF 300mm f/4L IS USM
1/400s f/7.1 at 300.0mm iso250 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Perfect, and that 300mm is as good as any Macro lens I'd say ...
