This image, taken with my Fujifilm F30, had several burnt out areas and did not lend itself well to cropping for a 4 x 6 print so I sent my son a picture of my granddaughter's head only, explaining that I couldn't crop it properly. He said he really liked it and I told him I would try to fix it so he could get a decent print. The arm of the chair was really dirty, as well as being burnt out. I selected the fabric from the side of the arm with a feathered lasso, pasted it over the top of the arm and then distorted it (edit/transform/distort), went to edit/selective color and lightened the black and then did a levels adjustment. Used a feathered lassoed section of hair to copy, rotate and paste to cover the burnt out area on her hair. Lightened her face with Brightness/Contrast, added an eye highlight and cloned out some background distractions. Looks really great printed with my Epson PictureMate PM 260. I am CRAZY about that printer!
