I was very pleasantly surprised when I went out on my deck and the birds at the feeder didn't seem quite so wary as they had in the past. I pulled over my stepstool and sat on it with my elbows propped on my knees as I pointed my 100-400 lens in the feeder area. Since is was raining and very dull out, I had to use ISO 1600 to get a fast enough shutter speed...and even 1/200 was a marginal speed.
