Carolina Wrens

Last year Carolina Wrens tried to build a nest on top of an upright support for my front entryway overhang. They were unsuccessful because there was no rim to retain the nest material. I placed a small iron skillet on top of the support and this year the wrens built a successful nest. I started hearing the babies about 3 days ago and today saw them peeking out of the side entry. I was able to capture the following pictures by standing on a ladder in my foyer and shooting through the transom window with my Canon 70-200 f/4L at ISO 1600, handheld. No noise reduction was used other than the default 25 in Adobe Camera Raw. The birds were selected and sharpened. More pictures starting here: https://pbase.com/image/62714268/original
