You've given us a scale reference with the walkway but then I am lost in the ambiguity of light and dark detail, the receding but illuminated cave and the roof above it with melting forms. I feel like I've entered hell and I love it.
Black and white is an abstracting medium. The images with the strongest degree of contrast in exposure and tonality, such as this one, tolerate such abstraction more effectively than images with less contrast in exposure and tonality. This one is extremely beautiful, with a great range of detail both suggested and implied within the light and shadowed areas.
