Provence is a region in south-eastern France which is bordered by the Rhone River, the Italian border, and the Mediterranian Sea. It's a beautiful area with many remnants of the Roman occupation which add to its charm and beauty.
We spent four nights in the area but probably could have spent much more time to do it justice because there are many sights we missed due to the lack of time. However the temperatures were a little extreme (hitting +38C in Avignon) and between that and the hoards of vacationers (Europeans seem to all take their month-long vacations in the summer months), we would recommend this area at a different time of year.
