Shots from a three day trip to Phetchaburi, from 09.11.2008 to 11.01.2008. The whole purpos of the trip was to see Spoon-billed Sandpiper in Pak Thale which I had failed to see the year before despite a full day of searching. This year however, all went well, and I found my first one on the first morning after just 30 minutes. This left me with plenty of time to photograph birds - these shots are from different places around Phetchaburi - the saltpans at Pak Thale and Laem Pak Bia, the mangroves at Laem Pak Bia, the sandspit at Laem Pak Bia and a few are from an area of rice fields north of the town.
