From 58 to 62 these 2 GM cars are miles apart, Pontiac in 58 was still about the chrome and the airplane styling was still evident.
By 1962 the Chevrolet division of GM had dropped the tail-fins and the chrome was still there but less on the low-end models and way more on the high end Impala. The 1958 Stato-Chief was the high-end model, and was still dressed up pretty good on the outside, it would soon be dropped to the bottom of the list and the Bonniville would become top dog. The 1962 Bel-Air was the middle of the line model and the trim was just a shade over the entry level Biscayne.
These two had seen better days but the weather was perfect to capture them in this condition.
