The beach road in Chaweng comes alive at night and is a riot of colour. The place has changed a lot since we were here 9 years ago though. The road is now made up and has been turned into a one way system. Most of the roadside shacks selling fake goods have gone and have been replaced with lots of shiny new shops (and higher prices of course). The global economy has arrived too, with Starbucks, MacDonalds, Subway, Pizza Hut, and no less than 3 branches of Boots. There's even an out of town Tesco....
Last year I was [ watching reflections ] in the river.
