Opinions seem to vary as to whether Weaver's Needle (4553 feet, 1388 meters) is a volcanic plug (solidified
lava that fills the conduit of a volcano) or merely a formation of volcanic tuff (fused volcanic ash) that's more
erosion resistant than than that which is around it.
