Strange what's handed down in families!

My maternal Grandfather's family owned Butchers shops and a Slaughterhouse.
From the age of 11 he was expected to work in the slaughterhouse before school each day, washing down the floor.
He often slept through school! When a Bull was slaughtered the ring was given to the slaughterman.
I often look at these and wonder why I eat meat!
