layers of Brick

douglas Lake

This brick is below the summer water line of Douglas Lake, a TVA Dam in Tennessee.
The pile of brick has been here at least for the three years that I have been here and it most likely has here since the French Broad River was dammed for flood control purposes, circa 1940.
The brick sits next to a cement foundation that spends its winters under water and the structure has long sense been remove or destroyed by time and water.

Ok Marc, it is now just a little warmer. The rocks in BG were blue before and now they are a more natural gray, Thanks for pointing that out to me.

Thanks, Colin you have discovered my passion: light... and in this case it was natural sunset lighting.

At first I thought, hmm, just some old bricks, then you notice the lighting and texture it brings out. A "Tate Modern" image I think.
