The oldest and most famous statue on the Charles Bridge
The tomb of St. John Nepomuk is inside the St. Vitus cathedral
His canonization was a move by the Jesuit as a Counter-Reformation ploy to elevate him as a national religious icon over Protestant forerunner Jan Hus, who was burn at the stake as a heretic in 1415. Hus’ monument is in the center of Old Town Square.
