Bar-sided skink Concinnia (Eulamprus) tenuis

Cremorne NSW Australia

This is one of the lucky species of lizard that has managed to survive the urbanisation of Sydney, where it often lives around houses.
In its natural environment it can be found by the very diligent who scan trees with binoculars- the little Bar-sided skinks often live
high in Eucalypts and Angophoras where they shelter in hollow branches. This species is preyed on by the endangered
Broad-headed snake.
