This view looks north. The Colorado River is off to the right, beyond a wide swath
of vegetation (mostly tamarisk). It's easier to find this spot when driving north
(toward Moab) than south (toward Potash): the highway signs are good landmarks.
This part of Potash Road is a popular rock-climbing area called Wall Street. Just up the road
were several people practicing their rock skills on cliffs right next to the road. They can
have that spooky sheer-drop stuff; I'll take a nice scramble any day. Here's an example of
climbing at Wall Street: http://www.mountainproject.com/v/utah/moab_area/river_road/105982403 .
The mouth of the canyon is just out of view to the left; it appears in the next photo.
