A bit sinister feel here

Guys, thank you for taking time to comment. For me, I think my preference is for the composition as is. When I shot it, I think was the two bridges (light and dark) that appealed to me and I wanted to show the point where the bridges came together. The street lighting has strong orange cast to it, so I set the white balance off the snow/slush in the right foreground during raw conversion. It was also fairly misty and that helped with the atmosphere a good deal.
Thanks again,
Richard.

I like it composed as is. This is a "decision" scene: which bridge to take. It's a bit scary. Do I go right and walk into the light where I can see to walk, yet be visible and easy prey? Or should I choose the darker left route, where I can move within the shadows and hope that those lights are a warm pub or other refuge? The equation changes if there are no lights on the left. I like the part they play. .. Lew

Before I read the comments, I found myself looking mainly at the lights on the right. In thinking about what I was doing, I thought about the crop Olaf suggested and decided that would change the mood. Instead of a subject commanding my view from an overall darkness, it would be the predominant part of the image. I think it's better as is -- or maybe the left part could be subdued a bit, but I wouldn't crop it.

And I really like the way the lights appear to be at the tips of the branches.

Now about color. I notice there is a low key blue. I suspect this is a flaw resulting from color correction. Or maybe it results from using a duotone or something. I don't particularly like it. I'm not talking about the blue on the left but the blue around the periphery of the light on the right. -- Victor

Conversely, you could take 5% and clone out the other two. I like wide...lol/Best Wishes, Traveller

I disagree with Olaf a little here. I might take 20% off the right to get rid of the blue lights, but it remains a remarkable image regardless...very evocative...vampires and werwolfs be here. Best Wishes, Traveller

That weather looks awfully familiar - brr - cold and damp. Here I find the light on the left edge distracting and the reflections and spreading shadows on the ground to the right the most interesting part of the image. Cropping down to a square, using only the rightmost part of the image (full height) yields a nice composition, I think.
