Hatshepsut's Mortuary Temple - Dier al Bahri

Frontal view of Hatshepsut's Mortuary Temple in the Valley of the Queens on the West Bank at Dier al Bahri.
The temple was built by Hatshepsut's architect Senmut ca 1485 BC.
On three levels, the temple incorporates a chapel to Hathor on the left - second terrace, and a chapel to Anubis on the right. The sanctuary is carved back into the cliff .
Hatshepsut is not buried here, but has two tombs in the Valley of the Kings, as she had lherself proclaimed Pharoah.
Her mummy has never been found.
