Blue tit

Llanelli,Wales

Parus caeruleus
Its colourful mix of blue, yellow, white and green make the blue tit one of the most attractive resident garden birds. Almost any garden with a peanut feeder will attract them and they readily breed in nestboxes. In winter they form flocks with other tit species and a garden with four or five at a bird table at any one time, may be feeding 20 or more. (Info from www.rspb.org.uk)

We have a blue tit family in our nest box. The whole family love watching them come out to get peanuts for the little babies we can hear in the box. So relaxing and beautiful to watch.

Am sat at the computer in my spare room, overlooking the beautiful Slad Valley of Stroud and playing around in the tree at my window are about a dozen of these beautiful little birds, then they keep flying under the eaves of my house, which means I may have guests staying this winter, which I certainly don't mind

Hi Jim and Jean From Blantyre Scotland,we put a nest box on the end of our shed last year and this year we have a breeding pair of Bluetits nesting there and feeding off our bird table which is about ten feet from nest box. They are so nice to watch darting in and out the box.We look forward to the young ones coming along.

Hi, I am viewing your web site from Canada. My sister lives in Derbyshire and we are always talking about the different birds we see at our feeders. I wish we had Blue Tits here in our area, they are so sweet.
Anyway, thanks for the lovely photos. I am going to search for a chaffinch as my sister talks about them a lot and we don't seem to have them here in the Ottawa area.
