Thank you sooo much for your website. My husband and I first noticed the Rose-Breasted Grosbeak yesterday. We have a feeder on our back deck and enjoy the birds that visit who are the usual lot of sparrows, robins, cat birds, blue birds and an occasional woodpecker; however, the Rose-Breasted Grosbeak that started visiting yesterday had us confounded. Neither of us had ever seen one and we are middle aged adults who enjoy recreational activities outdoors and have lived in MD all of our lives. He swore it was an Oriole and only changed his mind when I showed him a picture of an Oriole to which he agreed it was not an Oriole. He agrees with me that the bird matches your picture of the Grosbeak! Thanks again.
