Waiting for the Prince-SP Friday

Dauphine and Dumaine in New Orleans

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall visited New Orleans today for three hours. They toured one of the hardest hit areas of Hurricane Katrina, then visited a Catholic school in the Vieux Carre, the first school to open in New Orleans after the hurricane.
I'm the blonde. The other person in the picture is an artist in the French Quarter. And, I did get to shake hands with the Prince.

So, has been a nice day!!
Could be controversial, but it is an interesting person to meet. And you 2 girls look very happy!!

He was the privilaged one Coleen, and that's from an englishman.

Prince Charles should be honored to shake your hand. I remember standing on the banks of the Detroit River 50 years ago to watch the Royal Yacht Brittannia pass without so much as a wave from Queen Elizabeth or Prince Philip. It always hurts to recall 50 year old memories.

Very cool you shook the Prince's hand and I have some of your Spanish Moss, does that make me royalty : ) Congrats Coleen, that is a thrill!

Nice shot

Nice to meet you Coleen.
Very nice photo of the event. It shows what a good friend England is to America.
I watched a bit on the news last night and I must confess that the thought of British Royalty in the lower ninth ward was a bit... amusing, shall we say?

I like the anticipation in those smiles and I am glad the visit gave everyone a lift. Hope he didn't have sweaty palms though. ;-)

I danced with a man,
who danced with a girl,
who danced with the Prince of Wales.
Of course this Victorian erea was of Edward the Seventh, HRH's great, great, grandfather. !! but you came close too Coleen.:>)

What a fun shot....have you washed your hand yet? A special time. I saw him once in San Antonio...he was much younger, (well, so was I!) and pre-Diana.
