I like the composition, the choice of colors and the play on words, but feel that it could be better technically. It seems a bit like this is a composite of two images - the lighting, detail and sharpness, doesn't seem to match between the two elements and there is quite a bit of noise in almost the whole image. Still, high marks for creativity and humor!
Thanks, Phil! There are evidently many forms of this proverb as I discovered when I Googled it. I Googled - many a slip cup lip - to be sure I had it right and was delighted to find that the phrasing I wanted for this challenge is just as legitimate as the one you mention. I used the page of the Wordsworth Dictionary of Proverbs that came up in response to my Google query. Thanks for your comments! ~Sharon
I tried *very* hard to do this one myself (albeit in a completely different way) but could not get the right picture. So well done!
I think the saying is actually "There's many a slip twixt cup and lip", in case you're interested!
