Proof that you don't need fancy equipment for macro. This was shot with the Nikon 50mm f1.8 lens with Kenko tubes for extension/close focus. Simple and cheap, yet sharp and with nice contrast. Scared the heck out of me too, since I was about an inch away to take the picture. Maybe it's not such a great idea...
