Raining Baby Spiders!

This image is visited by a lot of people, so a little info might be appropriate:
Stepped outside of my New Jersey home one day, and saw an orange fuzzy cluster in a spider web. It didn't really look like anything except, well, an orange fuzzy cluster. So I blew on it. Aahh, a thousand baby spiders!
So I ran inside and got my camera. In the interim, apparently the law of gravitational attraction was re-applied, and the cluster regathered. Got the camera ready, and blew on it again. Took picture. Showered. Rinsed. Repeat.

I found the same spiders in my yard in San Francisco! I need a macro lens! Any idea what kind they are? I loved watching them rain down and climb back into their cluster.

Wow! I actually had a cluster of these same spiders outside my front door last summer. I tried to take pictures too, but they didn't turn out nearly as wonderful as yours.

Are those baby black widows? Just kidding! :)
REALLY cool pic! Almost looks like a studio shot with the white background (overcast day?).
I'm trying to think of a neat place for you to print or commercialize this interesting image. Mousepad might be too obvious. Necktie perhaps? Kids' pyjamas for a Baby Spider Man? :)
