Saw "Sweet Charity" tonight. Christina Applegate was amazing. Considering she's performing on a broken foot, literally ON a broken foot. She broke it during previews and realized the show was going bankrupt and was in danger of closing. She decided, broken foot and all, that the show must go on and reprised her role. She gained my respect.
Walking home to Grand Central to catch my train, I ran into some of the actors of Spamalot and a few of their fans, on Shubert Alley. I so want to see it, but tickets are hard to find, and unfortunately by the time I do, Hank Azaria might not be in it anymore. But I'm sure the show will still be amazing.
A few hundred feet later, I saw another gathering. This time it was Denzel Washington, with a few of his fans. What a charismatic man. Even the cars driving by were stopping and shouting his name. He's starring in Julius Caesar on Broadway. Definitely on my list to see. I tried to take his picture, but they didn't come out that great. All those cars stopping were in my way. Oh well...
