- 21st April 2005 - Snapper Snapped

Stopped at the Manchester Airport viewing area on the way back from a networking meeting.
No-use trying to snap the aircraft taking off really,

so got a few more of Concorde http://www.pbase.com/troonly/concorde

(sits still on the ground), and then did a few candids (shock horror, but yes I
managed a few :)) of the 'snappers'. This gent had a most impressive Canon set-up,
(I know size isn't everything, but......) and his website on his jacket, so please visit
and check out his shots (www.mintphotography.co.uk). I didn't speak to him as he
seemed pretty busy!

Must change that camera clock!

Nikon Coolpix 8800
1/170s f/6.0 at 35.9mm iso50 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

I like the subtlety of this one with just the hint of a monster lens and the plane there as well. Great stuff

I always like the perspective of shooting a painter or photgrapher doing his thing. Quite engages the viewer and makes the overall image even more interesting.

He can probably see the passengers with that kit !

I thought you were sitting on his shoulder Ian. The blur of everything else is great.

thought you'd just upgraded your kit Ian!

One almost feels you're seeing things as this man does. Nice work.

No, not close, had the camera pretty well zoomed.... :)

You must have been really close to this guy.
Gives a nice feel for what it's like to be in his shoes.

Equipment isn't everything, but he has a nice setup, I like your shot, with the plane in the background and his huge lens visible in front of him.
