I took a some shots of a pretty decrepit looking flower bed the other day and decided today to see if any of the old ladies could be dolled up enough to go out. This is may feeble attempt at gilding the lily.

PS - Extract the blossom (multiple selection methods) to separate level. Adjust levels and USM the blossom. Add purple background, but reduce opacity to permit some of the original background to show through to add some texture. Frame.

Note: I don't think I'm supposed to be doing it this way on a regular basis. Rather than pick one shot for my PAD and posting it, I've been regularly posting two or three (just to show them off?) and then some time later moving all but one to the Also Ran gallery.
