Or, maybe, fading glory. This, unfortunately, is an example of something young and full of potential that doesn't receive adequate nourishment (water in this case). I'm sure there are lots of morals that could be drawn from this. It's getting a little deep in here. Time to perk up.

PS - Select and extract rose to a new layer. Feather edges. Some levels adjustment and USM on rose. Insert new layer below rose layer. Add radial gradient overlay (transparent to black) layer effect. Fiddle with the gradient.

beautiful.. i love the bowing heads of dying roses.. something.. sad and beautiful in it. nicely done..

Pretty. Gradiant is a nice touch to bring out the flower's color. (Wish I could figure out how to do it). Looks like the flower has some life left, add some sugar water.
