Outstanding. Exceptional. It certainly deserved to win something in a competition. And it certainly gets my vote!

Stumbled onto this in the "Shadows" S&T, phenominal! Exquisitely unexpected symetry, elegant, logarythmic composition. Thanks!

Superb creation, superb interpretation. B&W very soft. I would like very much walk in.

Very creative PS work and it's not easy to critique a prize winning picture. Hmmm, perhaps a little cloning out of the distracting background way in the back can add to the surreal feeling? A figure like a minatur would fit in this labyrinth like landscape. I like to have a main subject somewhere to fix the eye on.

super! great dynamic range too.

Simply Stunning!

Bob, this is a stunning image, Escher-like in its internal complexity and relationships. It jumped off the page on your website. If you can do more stuff like this, you'll have a treasure trove. It is haunting, sterile, clean, a continuum, mysterious, otherworldly. It draws you in dramatically. Impressive.

Lovely mirrored work. Good choice for the experiment.
Guest 02-May-2005 08:08
excellent B&W - tones, composition - very simple but very effective

I THOUGHT that was the Jefferson Memorial, but the squatness threw me off! I just shot the same exact image from your location with the same lighting not two weeks ago. I won't get a chance to post it for another few weeks, though.

Beuatiful PS work, and a great picture.
Very good use of light.
The picture is amazingly somewhat cofusing.
The way the shadows of each poll are parllel to eachtoher (celing and floor), is contributing alot to this img.
The shadows in the celing seem like stairs :)
Guest 19-Mar-2005 01:17
Nice! You chose the right spot to reflect the original so that the result looks like a real image. Turn it 90 degrees and it looks like a giant ferris wheel! Reflecting images is fun. I've done it a lot to faces in my 'Symmetry' gallery.

Amazing comp, tones, and use of lighting. well done.

cheers, rl :)

I love this image. It is like an anti-Escher picture -- it makes sense, but it looks like it shouldn't (as opposed to looking like it should make sense, but not)!
