July 17 - Saturday's Pleasures

Rancho Bernardo, CA

This is just a quick snap and post so I can focus on the game. I just got back from an excellent movie, “De-Lovely” with Kevin Kline and Ashley (sigh) Judd. It is the story of Cole Porter’s life.
I sobbed and sobbed toward the end. Had to get home and doing something more macho… like baseball and burgers!

Nice shot, great color and clarity. Sounds like a perfect afternoon. I'll have to check out that movie.

Every once in a while I just HAVE to have one. (did you warm it up after getting it home? That's the secret.) Did they win?

This is excellent for a grab shot, it really signifies Americana! How wonderful that you can admit to sobbing at a movie, many men will not do that, and I for one, find a man who admits to his emotions and does not hide them as "well rounded" and very appealing. I have not heard of this movie, will have to look it up.

This is more American than a flag!! LOL!!

Nice day....and ends with eating junk. I am a Luxemburger and I like my country for it's beauty and gastronomy. If there is one Luxemburger that should be shot, it's certainly the one that emigrated to the US and who made McDonald's become a reality. Nothing against burgers, I like to eat some too, but those are not burgers, those are valueless sponges. Beuuuurkkhh.

Shudda called me. I could have brought ice cream. (See my PaD). Nice shot, Robin...

oh man... you just made me REALLY hungry for a cheeseburger...

looks to me like mickey D has better quality control where you are. now go throw back some brewskis and scratch yourself in that special place. Then for an encore perhaps you can crush that soda cup on your forehead.

Saturday? It's Saturday? Oh, right, it is. That's what happens when you have to work Saturday. It feels like Friday. I haven't eaten McDonald's food in about three months. I'm very happy about that. Tonight I ate too much at Capitol City Brewing Company--pulled pork sandwich...Three hours later I still feel disgustingly full. No offense to this well set-up photo, but it makes me nauseous. That's putting it politely. :-) Hopefully, my dinner will have been fully digested by morning and I'll feel better.

Hey, what did you do to that burger? They never look that tall in real life! This looks like an ad -- a very nicely captured scene. Did the Padres get their butts kicked? I recently moved from San Diego to Michigan. Who'd a thunk one could move to a place with a team that's even harder to root for :)

I too prefer Burger King; but I don't make a habit out of such junk food - only when there's no real alternative. I bet the burger is not part of the staple diet of either the baseball players or the tennis player.....
As for watching baseball; well, how often do you watch cricket?

You should send this photo to every McDonald's in the UK - to let them know what a burger ought to look like (not that I go to McDonald's - I prefer Burger King) :-)

It has been years since I have eaten a McDonalds. Still in business I see. So the movie is a go see. Been wanting to see it. Have a nice day.
