May 23: Firestone

I've walked past this several times today. The front wheel of the VW, which is in the garage, reflecting the sunshine through the door from the garden beyond. These Firestones aren't at all the size I wanted on the car. I wanted a more modern low profile tyre. But no one makes a size that'll fit within the wheel arch and look 'right'. But I'm starting to like these Firestone skinnys. Especially when they look as good as this.

On the photography side of things, this turned out more complicated than I thought, and a little snapshot in the garage ended up with a tripod, black cloth background and various reflectors to get it just so.

other sizes: small medium original auto

Your hard work paid off. Nice tire shot here.

This could easily be an advertisement for the tire company! I love how the light reflects on the Firestone label! Very nice!

Nice that you worked so hard to get this ... Love that car!

...and 'just so' it is!

Well the light on the tyre is just 'so' spot on :)) It'll be difficult to get 'skinnies' to fill the wheel arch without going up a rim size? Anyways the Firestone's don't look so bad?

I really like this one, especially the writing. From what's been said, I'm glad I don't even own a reflector!

Nice shot... I know what you mean about the photo side of things. I did a shoot for work during the holidays, should have been simple. Take a picture of some christmas tree ornament. Turned into a whole day project with reflectors and lights and a blacked out studio and trying to avoid the reflection of the camera/operator in the shot. Whew!!!

Perfect? Angela and Alon will have to fight this one out I think. LOL!

I think they look great! And on the photography side, I know what you mean, sometimes the simplest ideas become so complicated! But this came out perfectly!

...just a bit more DoF on that "E" will make it perfect! ;) How did you like the interview? :)
