Fantastic! Looks like a shopping cart production plant!! =:) Great capture, Ray.

Hi Bill:
Farnham eh? I know that fairly well as I live in Woking 10 miles away and my girlfriend resides in Tongham which is just off the Hogs Back and is home to the Hogs Back Brewery.
The Sainsburys trollies in the picture ("carts" to you!)belong to the Brookwood store, aka Knaphill. I don't actually use the scanning partly because I cannot see the big deal, and I prefer to shop at Waitrose or another branch of JS that's more handy.
Saw your cart in the drink - cool!

Sainsbury's was just starting to use the self-scan when I was
working in Farnham UK in Y2K. It was neither faster nor convenient
as the employees were still learning the system.

loved that the shopping trollies were 4 wheel steering, those in
the US are 2 wheel steering, and typically end up in the drink

I'll wager half of them have wonky wheels!

Great shot, fractal-like

Nice shot. You live and learn, I didn't know that anywhere other than Waitrose had self scanning. CB

I don't live in England, but I recognize it as being a COOL picture! :) It looks sort of like a bunch of shopping carts pushed together or something. But I love the perspective this picture gives! Great job!
