January 2

At Home, Sugar Land Texas

For those of you who get Winter weather, don't laugh at these simple suggestions.
The terrible FREEZE that is gripping 80% of the U.S. is reaching down to the Gulf of Mexico.
My yard looks like a Ku Klux Klan meeting as all shrubs and flowers are covered with bed sheets.
We picked a ton of Kumquats and herbs, those remainung will be ruined.
There could be SNOW again, something that happened in December and normally only happens once every 10 years.
High today was 32 - Low tonight 22F or -5C
Next week, we go back to the 70s

Did I speak too soon in the earlier photo? LOL
Hope you make out well and with no broken pipes.

What a strange behavior of the weather - I heard It in the news...
Here it is quite mild, no snow, a lot of rain and storms - I wish you all the best, and stay warm!

Here in the frozen north Niagara Falls is frozen on our side. In Calgary it was so cold last week the zoo brought its penguins indoors and here in Kingston this weekend we are going to approach -40 C with the wind chill factored in, -40C = -40F. Recently it was warmer on Mars and at the North Pole. Everyone layer up and keep your batteries warm. Nice to see your 700 is still chugging along Lynn, as are mine but at close to 150000 clicks on my 77 it due to do something nasty. all the best in 2018

seems very harsh for Texas...love the KKK analogy (although best to keep that bunch frozen stiff)...good luck in the adverse conditions..

I have a friend who is currently in Houston for a few weeks, and he did say he wasn't expecting the normal number of butterflies:-o
Of course, here it is quite mild, but one evening last week, I only just managed to open the car door because of the ice!
