Best restaurant pad thai I've ever had - at Rosetta's Kitchen, in Asheville, North Carolina, at 116 N. Lexington. Would have overlooked it because of its location near busy roads, but we had a A.I.R. Passport(Asheville Independent Restaurant's coupons) on which it was one of the choices. Check out their menu: http://rosettaskitchen.com/kitchen-menu
Rosetta's is a vegetarian/vegan restaurant, and was very creative with the pad thai contents. First time I've ever had broccoli, white and red cabbage as some of the ingredients. I chose Tofu as an optional addition, rather than the tempeh, which was also a choice. The sauce was very flavorful, although I might have preferred a bit less red pepper - my lips were vibrating still after I had finished! Loved the addition of uncooked bean sprouts on top, fresh cilantro, and a slice of lime, which many restaurants leave out. Would have liked a bit more chopped peanuts, in indeed there were any in it.
Bill had three tacos which rated an "excellent" as well.
