After many weeks of hibernating because of ridiculously cold record breaking low temperatures, I was quick to take advantage of the first sunny mild winter day to hike around the Lauriault Trail in Gatineau Park, which is maintained as a winter hiking trail. It was my first visit to the park in winter and offered a much needed change of scenery. A large boulder left by glaciers sits in the foreground.
