One or two locations are particularly known for their autumn colour in this case Glen Affric has the largest stand of naturally occurring Scots Pine in Britain and when those rich greens are mixed with the gold and glittery cloak of golden birch an explosion of clashing colour results. I photographed this from a window in the trees and managed to slot in the reflected spit of land and its trees mirrored in the cool dawn of the loch.
