Getting Ready

Philipstown House is a fine Georgian house which is getting ready to open its doors to the public with a theatrical production on the lawn next Monday.
It being silly season, I escaped from the office to interview the owners about their plans for the house and managed to take a few photos while I was there.

The garden implements add to the image... gives us the sense of the impending work.

An inviting scene--at least for me. I've often wished I was a groundskeeper.

It makes a nice change from filing stories about the evil-doings of miscreants from the courthouse.
The arrangement of the barrow, broom and shovel give an air of anticipation about work still to be done rather than work completed; as if the work-folk will be along any minute to put them back into use.

Well composed capture, and sounds like it might be an interesting place to photograph when it opens. V.
