Camouflaged looper (Synchlora aerata), #7058

This is yet another photo of one of these intriguing little moth caterpillars that likes to decorate itself with bits of plant matter. Here, a very small one was moving rapidly over queen anne's lace and appeared to be nibbling at the flowers, whether eating them or cutting for body cover I don't know. There appear to be remnants of black-eyed susan petals on its body, not surprisingly, for the site was full of this plant species and there were many of these caterpillars on them.
