20140301_3012627 Good Artists Copy, Great Artists Steal (Sat 01 Mar)

At Home, Illawarra, NSW

In this case I flat out stole the idea from Mairéad's PAD of 27 February, but inverted it to some extent. While that one was "Running On Empty" with a near-empty tank of fuel, mine, as you can see, is filled to the brim. And yet... I'm not going anywhere.

Both metaphorically and literally. Metaphorically this was the point at which I yet again allowed myself to be stuck in a work grind for months.

Literally... you can probably make out the rain on the windshield in the background and while I have no particular qualms about driving in the rain, it does cut down on the available destinations. So instead I stayed at home and shot the interior of my car.

Not running on empty, but all fuelled up and still getting nowhere. I'm not sure which is worse.

I don't see a dashboard, I see two eyes looking at me. They look like they are happy they don't have to go anywhere in the rain!

Snazzy looking dash and I like the mix of warm and cool colours.

Very nice comp and capture. Yes, it is difficult to attain much spend when in "P". How far have you taken that needle on the right when you don't have this in "P"?

I like the composition and very well exposed. I like the rain. The darkness makes the colors pop out.
