Kirk Pond lies below Fern Ridge Dam along the north side of Clear Lake Road, opposite the dam on Fern Ridge Lake. It is a "minimally developed day use park with, vault toilets, paved roads, picnic tables, fire rings, trails and a fishing dock. No group picnic areas and no reservations. Fees: none (free area)." http://www.ohwy.com/or/k/kirkpark.htm)
One often find birds there, herons, egrets, cormorants, eagles and of course geese and ducks. The beautiful park there is very popular in the summer, and is well used all year round by some who take their walks there or walk their dogs in the area.
