Lioness Stalking Elephants

Savuti Marsh, Chobe National Park, Botswanau

There are ~180,000 elephants in northern Botswana.
The lions have taken to killing them and are now quite adept at it.
The youngest and weakest elephants are most at risk – particularly towards the end of the dry season -- when they are at their lowest ebb.
